The Vertical Blue competition is a nine-day event with two days off during the middle. Athletes have a maximum of six attempts to tackle the four depth disciplines of competitive freediving: CWT, CWTB, FIM, and CNF.
Across the nine days, participants will attempt to achieve impressive depths in these disciplines, pushing their physical and mental limits. With two days of rest incorporated, the competition provides athletes with ample time to recover and prepare for their next attempts.
The Vertical Blue competition is not just about pushing individual depth limits. It’s an opportunity for freediving enthusiasts to gather, compete, and celebrate the incredible depths of the ocean.
